Portland Pie Co. Flavored Pizza Dough is delivered frozen to your local grocery store and placed in the deli section to slowly thaw and start the proofing process. When you get your dough home keep it refrigerated to allow the proofing process to continue. The product will keep for 7 days if kept refrigerated. For best results let dough proof at room temperature for 30 minutes before stretching so that it is nice and soft!
Preheat Oven to 475°. The trick to stretching pizza dough is to get it as flat and round as possible BEFORE you pick it up. Lightly coat the dough in flour and push flat with palm, then pick up the dough and stretch to desired size. Brush dough lightly with oil and add sauce, cheese and toppings. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Portland Pie Co. Gluten Free Pizza Dough is delivered frozen to your local grocery store where they then place it in the deli section to slowly thaw and start the proofing process. Preheat Oven to 475°. Gluten Free Dough is similar to pastry dough and will fall apart if not handled gently! Place dough on a rice flour dusted surface and gently press flat with palm. Use a rolling pin to roll dough to desired size (12-14" recommended for 16oz ball). Crimp the edges as they will likely have lost a smooth edge and place on oiled pizza pan. Brush dough lightly with oil and bake WITHOUT toppings for 3 minutes. Remove from oven and add sauce, cheese and toppings. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
We do not recommend freezing already thawed dough, this would likely kill the yeast.
It'll Be Pizza would love for everyone to have access to our delicious dough, unfortunately making a frozen product that is high quality and heavy makes it very cost prohibitive to ship. When shipping direct becomes an option we will update this page accordingly!
